Watch skilled riders tackle challenging courses, cheer on local and visiting competitors, and enjoy a fantastic weekend of family entertainment. With free camping, great facilities, and plenty of action both on and off the track, it's a must-do event on Bulloo. Pack swag!

Hungerford Sports Horse & Motorbike Gymkhana 2026

03 Oct 2026 It kicks off Friday night at the Royal Mail Hotel with a camp oven mean and entertainment by a live band. Saturday is jam packed full of horse and motorbike events for both children and adults, as well as novelty events such as the famous Mulga Mac's bicycle race, tug of war and sprint races for men, women and children. Ross Wallace Show Grounds boast modern facilities and plenty of room to camp.

Music in The Mulga

13 May 2027 Music in the Mulga is an annual four-day country and country rock music festival held in Thargomindah, Southwest Queensland, Australia, known for its unique atmosphere of a large family gathering in true outback style. The event features evening concerts, walk-ups, a main Saturday Concert, a charity auction, and yabby races with fashions of the field, fostering a welcoming friendly environment.

Quick Shears - Shearers Shindig Thargomindah 2027

21 May 2027 A family-friendly weekend full of fun, laughter, and action-packed activities at the Shearers Shindig awaits at the Thargomindah Sports Oval.

Activities include Live Music and DJ, Colour Run Fun to get active and colourful with the whole family, and Exciting Pig Races also including Wool Bale, Potato Sack, Three-legged, Egg 'n' Spoon and Flag Races. Quick Shears Shearing Competition!
